RIDESHARE
As part of this project, there are incentives for commuters to rideshare with the goal of reducing traffic congestion during peak periods (weekdays 7am – 9am & 4pm – 6pm). Incentives include working with employers to encourage carpooling, vanpools, bus incentives, flexwork, telecommuting, and much more.
Services for employers, include:
- Free FlexWork consulting services
- Tax Savings information
- Ridesharing program information: carpools, vans, bus passes
- Matching cash incentives for employees
For commuters, there are numerous incentives, including:
- Dollar a Day for not driving alone (through participating employers)
- Prizes and Discounts for Commuter Challenge
- Vanpooling: free vanpools
- Coastal Express
- Riders save $4,000/year on average vs. driving
